Your
investors will treat your application for capital the same way
they would any business proposition. The following are some
criteria that should cover many of the aspects that investors
consider when evaluating a potential investment, and should
prove useful if kept in mind when preparing a business plan
for your company.
• Target Market
Define your market and how relevant your service or product
is to them, and what makes it unique from what your competitors
may have to offer. • Management
Team
For most investors, a management team with a good track record
is prerequisite to your proposition's approval.
• Exit Strategy
Investors expect to know how to liquidate their stake in the
future, how much it might be estimated to be worth then, or
whether this option is even available.
• Scaleable Business Model
Does your business model have provisions for expansion? Will
it have the proper structure in place to accommodate growth,
whether locally or globally?
• Global Potential
If you can demonstrate that your service or product can be
adapted effectively for use in markets outside the UK, this
will considerably increase the interest of investors in your
proposal.
