Financial support for post-graduate students

There are a variety of funding options and opportunities for graduate students based on academic merit or financial need, course of study, or type of degree program. Most fellowships, research or teaching assistantships, and grants are secured through academic departments or schools within the university.

Your university/college financial aid office administers all federal and private loans for graduate students in most courses and departments. You should then visit your respectice aid offices as a first step to determining if you are eligible for financial support. A limited form of Federal Work-Study assistantships are available for graduate students depending on school or department recommendation.

To be considered for loans or Federal Work-Study eligibility, graduate students should submit the following forms:

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Graduate Loan and Federal Work-Study Application

Students who have not applied for loans for the current academic year and want to apply for loans for Summer Quarter must complete the Summer Quarter Graduate Financial Aid Application and FAFSA of their chosen university.
