NHS Bursaries
Home students Nursing & Midwifery
diploma courses can apply for non-means certified NHS maintenance
bursary of £6,692. There is no applicable liability
for tuition fees for students on Diploma courses. Home students
studying Nursing, Midwifery & Radiography Degree courses
who have been accepted for a National Health Service funded
place might be eligible for a means certified NHS Bursary,
this is up to a maximum value of £4,836 in London,
and £2,921
for those living with their parents.
Student Loans
if
you are the recipient of a Bursary, your annual Student
Loan entitlement is reduced; the maximum
loan amount that you can apply for 2005 – 2005 is £2,480
for independent students studying in London, and £1,535
for students still living at their parent’s home.
Like a grant, a NHS bursary is not repayable. Diploma students
are not eligible for Student Loans.
