Choosing
a Private Bank
In general, private banks offer mostly the
same basic services and accounts. Keep in mind the particular
areas you are interested in and choose the bank which offers
the combination of services and fees that best suits your
specific needs.
You can also choose from many online-only
banks that provide traditional personal banking services.
However, you can only
access their services by using the Internet or a telephone
because they do not have branches that you can visit. Also,
specialised private banking services are usually not available
online. Check first if the online bank has the services that
you are looking for.
Remember that you do not have to stay
with a single bank. Furthermore, if you become unsatisfied
with the service you
are receiving,
you always have the option of transferring your account
and banking business to another bank or building society.
Although
this can prove to be a time consuming process, most banks
will provide help and assistance with moving your accounts. |
