Financial
advise
• If you are considering the purchase
of an ISA, be sure to consult with your accountant and an
IFA (Independent Financial Advisor). While an ISA Manager
will be able to give you information about ISAs, this is
usually limited to the particular products they are offering.
For a fair overview of your available choices, it is best
to obtain independent financial advice.
•
Since all ISA Managers are required to pass government approval,
you can consult the list provided on the Inland Revenue website
if you want to be sure you are dealing with a legitimate
company. The current list is available in Adobe Acrobat
format, click here.
•
Charges, as well as terms and conditions, vary between ISA
products, so be sure to obtain this information when evaluating
an ISA. Although the CAT standards specify no charges for some
ISAs, keep in mind that not all ISAs are actually required
to meet all the CAT guidelines. Always check the information
on the particular ISA products you are interested in to be
sure you are aware of the possible charges involved. |
