> Disablement
Benefit
This type of compensation
is awarded in case you sustain a severe work-related injury,
or are afflicted by a disease caused by the
hazardous environmental conditions of your workplace.
Disablement
benefits apply if your disablement is assessed at 14% or higher,
and you were a paid worker at the time the accident,
or the conditions that led to your illness, occurred.
> General
Damages
General damages are
paid to you as compensation for any injuries you sustained
from the incident cited in your claim. The
award takes into consideration pain and suffering from
the injury,
as well as any amount of potential income that was negated
as a result
of the incident. The actual amount awarded for general
damages is determined by the court.
> Special
Damages
Special damages are awarded
to cover any actual financial loss that you suffered as a direct
result of the injury.
The court will take into account details
such as damage to your possessions and the clothes you were wearing
when the
incident
occurred, the transportation expenses to and from
the hospital, total cost of medical treatment, and the
full
expense of
replacing or repairing your vehicle if it was damaged
in an accident.
